Professor Bartholomew Nnaji is a former Minister of Power of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He has also served Nigeria as a Minister of Science and Technology. Prof Nnaji is a Nigerian engineer, innovator and one of the inventors of the E-Design concept. He has studied at St  John’s University, New York USA as well as the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is a pioneer in the study of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics which he studied at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, (MIT) in Boston USA.

Prof Nnaji is the Founder and first Director of the Automation and Robotics Laboratory at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Prof Nnaji is the current Chairman of the Geometric Power Company, an independent power generating and distribution company based in Aba, Abia State Nigeria.
