The African Enterprise Institute introduces its Entrepreneurship Support Program for students of qualified and verified Institutions of higher learning. Our program provides support for students seeking a career in established businesses or in entrepreneurship ventures. We support students accepted into our entrepreneurship support program with grants and scholarships for trainings and guidance in business startup, capital raising, business sustainability and executive management trainings. We also support the most promising would-be entrepreneurs amongst our student community with additional access to capital for startup, access to markets and access to the global skills required to be successful in the 21st century business environment.
1. Entrepreneurship Strategy series (FREE) courses for selected students or entrepreneurs of a given school or University. 25 licenses for Private Universities with small populations, 50 for State Universities, 100 for Federal Universities.
- Get the youths selected to register, follow and like our social handles Identify
- Seek partner in the University such as a computer Lab or training center with computer stations if required seek off campus support from cybercafés, business centers, exam centers.
- They can take the course online
2. Select 3 outstanding entrepreneurs, from those that took the course for further support;
a. Based on drive and ideas
b. Business planning and their assessment as well as engagement
3. Offer the 3 entrepreneurs selected the following:
a. StartUp Nigeria series
b. Becoming a Champion study package.
- “Becoming A Champion” SPEAKING EVENT for selected students in the school or for partnership schools in that catchment area to come to one location etc.a. Dr Nick Okoye speaks on his experiences as a serial Entrepreneur, Enterprise Development and National Development Strategy (Support for entrepreneurs, engagement, national development, post covid, local content value chain sequencing, Africa strategy and Human Capital dev Strategy) converted into a podcast.b. Online ZOOM with Dr Nick Okoye for selected students with best drive, ideas and enthusiasm. FREE to 50 students only. Converted into podcast.c. Dinner with Dr Nick Okoye four times a year for four girls and four boys. (selected by trivia) Christmas, easter, summer and fall.
- We can support a further number of aspiring entrepreneurs in their community into the second stage of ESP for:a. Paring with our Super Mentorsb. Funding of their qualified eligible business (especially if chosen from our listed options of “Community Enterprises”)c. Market penetration for selected markets including Lagos, rest of Africa and the United States.d. New businesses set up, Getting Started in Business for school leavers. Short list for getting funded as Vendors, Micro merchants, Business in a Box, Apprenticeship etc.
- Funding and support in business is available for an additional 100 to 250 school leavers (depending on school population) aspiring to be entrepreneurs not previously selected in the original 25/ 50/ 100. If they pass our ESP assessment and get certified. However the additional 100 to 250 will need to be funded by Alumni philanthropists, companies operating in the School, development partners or Diaspora members of that School Alumni. We will work together to find the funding partners for this. Once they are trained then they are inducted into the ESP 21st Century Entrepreneurship Revolution which includes funding for businesses and enterprises in selected fields. The new 100 to 250 entrepreneurs are funded by third parties for the ESP as a bundle N50k each.
- Once new 100 to 250 have been selected. And funding partners are secured working closely with the ANCHOR, Then the same step process 1 to 6 will follow.
