Uade is the author of the book CRAPI FART – Persepective for an Emerging Market which deals with issues relating to Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Compliance. He has over 25 years of cognate experience – Consulting, Business development, Banking, Oil & Gas, Energy, Infrastructure Development, Business Process Reengineering, Finance, Accounting, Auditing and Internal Control and recently retired as General Manager Governance, Risk and Compliance at Sahara Group. He is currently one of the Principal Consultant with Accounting Lab Limited. Whilst at Sahara, he was responsible for setting up and managing the Group’s – Internal Audit, Management Information Systems and Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Compliance as well as been the Acting Managing Director of the Group’s logistics and warehousing operations (Sahara Bulk Storage Facilities Limited). He was also involved in developing, implementing and managing the set up of Sahara Group’s Power assets (Ikeja Electric, Egbin Power PLC and First Independent Power Limited), where he was responsible for developing and implementing the Management Information System measurement system for business reviews and measurement, as well as the Corporate Governance, Risk and Compliance Management System. Following the structures developed and managed by the department, Sahara Group was admitted into the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) – Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI) in 2015 where he was a member of the discussion panel at the Spring meeting on the highest body of the PACI community – PACI Vanguard Council on developing initiatives towards Rebuilding Trust and Integrity in Business. The structures developed enabled the platform for Sahara Group to partner for the first time with the United Nation through the United Nations Development Program – Sustainable Development Goals Fund where Sahara Group was nominated as a member Private Sector Advisory Board (PSAG). He worked as team lead, for Sahara Group in creating the needed framework, governance, risk and compliance as well as operational system for a partnership in conjunction with the SDGF team on a project – Food Africa Project towards providing employment, eradicating poverty and empowering people (with an emphasis gender equality and women empowerment). The project would also see to the reduction in food wastage and improving and increasing food production sustainability in Kaduna State. The project is in conjunction with other stakeholders – FAO, ILO, Kaduna State Government and ITC– on implementing a private-public partnership towards improving the food value chain for farmers and creating sustainability in the agricultural sector of the Nigerian economy. He worked as team lead with WEF-PACI coordination department in putting together a program – Re-Building Trust and Integrity in Business – with focus on Nigeria in line with the current stance on anti-corruption in Nigeria and PACI’s focus in helping to develop a sustainable program that will help bring together both the public and private sector in the fight against corruption. He was responsible for the management of developing and publishing the first ever sustainability report for the Group in 2015, and has successfully spearheaded the publication of the first ever in the history of the Nigerian Power Sector, Sustainability Reports for Ikeja Electric and Egbin Power Plc for the 2015 financial year.
